Like myself, I don't care if I have to be sweating my pants for a while in other to get to the learn the rope of a thing but what I couldn't withstand is to be just like every one in this rat race.I use to be just like you, so naive about this application processes

Victor as I do call him Vikman, a one – time secondary school friend of mine working with a small firm in Lagos was the person who sent the advert on our school WhatsApp group.Well it wasn’t relevant to me as I was still in the university but then me being a guy who was after my friends progress, I shared it on my status.Anita, a graduate friend of mine way older than me who has stayed three years and few months searching for job actually saw it on my status and messaged me if I can help out to update her CV and run a cover letter for her.Okay at first, I was reluctant because I was in school and I had series of test that week but then this is a gig before me, I needed money coupled together with, this is the job I’ve been doing for the past three years, so I believe it won’t be a bottleneck for me.I researched all the necessaries and wrote a CV and Cover Letter for her, so after few weeks she was sent a mail that her application was reviewed and she made it to the interview.Something A-mazing happened! After the interview which she felt she didn’t ace too well, she complained to me, I just told her to try to send a Thank – You Letter back to them in which I guided her through. To cut the long story short, Anita got the job which was worth 750k - a month.Some years after, during the course of her working there, she was told that the main reason why she was called back was solely because of the Thank – You Letter sent.

In as much as you want to grab attention of recruiters through a visually appealing application, endeavor to stay away from specific formatting errors as not every ATS are robust enough to dictate the most common advanced formatting like Text boxes, Tables, Columns, Creative fonts, Headers and FootersBecause most ATS consider these advanced formatting as objects hence disregards it.So imagine inputting experiences, skills, or any other paramount section of your CV in those advanced formatting set ups, the ATS will end up recognizing the candidate records as null

This is one in a million subtle reasons why you’ve been finding it difficult to win your way through for an interview and this is why this mantra still remains valid “Every game has rules… obey the rules, win the game!”I know you will say you've been obeying the rules by tirelessly sending out your applications to every Internship/Job openingsBut how do you obey the rules you're ignorant of?
